“SADO Mirai Project” presents Sado Traditional Culture Experience Camping Tour 2025

Why not create unforgettable summer memories in Sado, surrounded by rich nature?

The “SADO Mirai Project”, which was launched in 2024, aims to expose young people and children who will lead the next generation to Sado’s wonderful traditional culture and connect it to the future. And in 2025, we have prepared a camping tour where you can experience Sado’s traditional performing arts and creative activities as a special experiential program!

Program contents
At this camping camp, you can experience the diverse culture that has been passed down in Sado since ancient times and experience modern expressions.

• Try traditional performing arts!
In addition to watching traditional performing arts such as the graceful dance of “Sado Okesa”, which represents Sado, and the humorous “Slow Doll”, you can actually experience it in a workshop format under the guidance of a professional. It is a chance to experience the deep charm of Sado that you have never known before.

• Watch a movie set in Sado and enjoy a campfire!
On the first night, we will hold a screening of the movie “Journey,” which is set in Kita-Ushima Island in Sado. On the second night, let’s all gather around a campfire and create unforgettable memories.

• Fusion with modern expression!
We provide an opportunity to experience not only traditional culture, but also diverse modern expressions. Through experiencing sensitive contemporary dance and listening to rap music that conveys a powerful message, you can discover new charms that combine tradition and modernity.

This camping camp is not just an experience, but we promise that it will become a lifelong memory that will be deeply engraved in the hearts of each participant. A special time to feel the breath of local culture and create with your friends in the majestic nature of Sado. Why not experience the excitement that can only be experienced in Sado this summer?
