Sado Island Galaxy Art Festival 2025: Call for Proposals – Site Visit Tour

We will be holding a tour to visit potential installation locations for the Sado Island Galaxy Art Festival 2025, targeting those considering submitting proposals for the festival’s call for artworks.

1. Date and Time:
Sunday, April 20, 2025

2. Visiting Locations:
Potential artwork installation sites, etc., in the Ryotsu area.

3. Itinerary:
As per the attached schedule.

4. Capacity:
20 people (applications accepted on a first-come, first-served basis)

5. Eligibility:
Individuals considering submitting a proposal for the Sado Island Galaxy Art Festival 2025.
In the case of a group, only one representative should apply.

6. Participation Fee:
Free

• Participants are responsible for arranging and covering the costs of their own transportation to the meeting point, local bus fares during the tour, charter boat fees (depending on the number of people), lunch expenses, and accommodation.
• Participation in the entire itinerary is not mandatory.

7. Application Period:
Tuesday, April 15, 2025 – Friday, April 18, 2025

• Applications will close once the capacity is reached.
• If the number of applications exceeds the capacity, applicants will be placed on a waiting list.

◎ Please note that individual inquiries via phone or other means will not be answered.
◎ In accordance with our Personal Information Protection Policy, the collected information will not be used for any purpose other than the site visit tour.

9. Important Notes:

(1) Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking.

• Transportation within the island will be primarily on foot and by local bus, with charter boats used depending on the number of people.
  (2) Please bring your own drinks. Be sure to take all trash with you.
  (3) The itinerary is subject to change in the event of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
  (4) In the event that part or all of the itinerary is canceled due to bad weather, an explanatory meeting may be held at Ryotsu Port.
• Please note that this site visit tour will only cover a portion of the planned festival venues. There will be no tours of existing exhibition areas or other areas. If you are considering submitting a proposal for artworks in these areas, please visit them on your own as necessary.
